Hi, we’re Kilee & Ben!
The people behind Loon Blooms. We’ve always loved being outside and spend most of our free time creating, building, paddling, gardening, and finding any excuse to get our hands dirty.
Loon Blooms started with Kilee’s slightly ridiculous obsession with loons. While working up North, she developed a deep admiration for what she considers the coolest bird ever — the loon. When Ben & Kilee first met, he quickly caught on and would bring home anything loon-related he came across at antique stores, garage sales, and flea markets. Eventually, that little obsession found its way into the name of our flower farm.
Our farm has become a place where we get to combine so many of the things we love. We love watching something grow from a tiny seed, spending evenings in the garden, getting excited when the first blooms of the season open, and filling the house with flowers we grew ourselves. There is always something to do on the farm, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
What started with a few flowers and a love of gardening has grown into Loon Blooms. We’ve slowly built our flower farm around the varieties we love, the things we’re excited to grow, and the kind of flowers we want to share with other people. Every season brings something new, and we love that the farm is always evolving right along with us.
One of our favorite parts of growing flowers is getting to see them become part of someone else’s special moment. Whether it’s a wedding bouquet, flowers for a celebration, or simply a bunch of blooms picked up to brighten someone’s kitchen table, we love knowing that something we grew can make someone happy.
Loon Blooms is our way of doing something we truly love together — being outside, growing beautiful things, creating, and sharing a little piece of our farm with other people.
